October 2015
October is Autumnal
As the leaves begin to change and the sun dips down from its summer high point to hug the horizon once more, fall encroaches even further. For the ETHOS Lab, September brought with it a pleasant start to the semester. We welcomed David Turnbull to Copenhagen for our September edition of publicETHOS, and together with Invizo hosted a workshop on using the visualization program Tableau for this term’s Navigating Complexity students.
We have also added several new entries to our blog including Jakob Bæk Kristensen’s post on the Messiness of Public Facebook Data, as well as Lab Manager, Michael Hockenhull’s post identifying the ETHOS lab and its position within the ITU laboratory ecosystem as a whole.
But wait! wait! there's more than all this, our first study group on programming in Python which is open to all skillsets is meeting regularly too! Our first fall term has started with a bang, but this by no means is to say that our work is done – quite the opposite, in fact.
In this month’s newsletter you’ll find all sorts of fun tidbits including some of our research projects that are in search of students, a sneak peek of what the ETHOS Lab is planning for Culture Night, and how even you can get involved in our programming study group.
Are you curious about the ETHOS lab and what we do? Then come and visit us! We'd be happy to discuss research directions or our partner services. We're located on the 1st floor of ITU in room 1C05 or on the web through our facebook page. We’re also on Twitter so follow us there too! @ethosITU
Yours Affectionately,
The ETHOS Lab Team
